All three surgeries have more than 1 kennel area with Newton Aycliffe and Spennymoor having 3 and Bishop Auckland 5 areas. This allows us to keep dogs, cats and small animals/wildlife separate. This provides a less stressful environment for patients when they are with us.

We have seven large walk in kennels at Bishop Auckland so that larger dogs have plenty of space to move around.

At the Bishop Auckland surgery we have an isolation ward where patients with infectious diseases are kennelled and nursed separately from other in-patients and an area that is open to the main preparation area that is used for intensive care and recovery.
